Student Leader
To become a leader, you have to show both humility and strength. A key part of building leaders is getting them to understand that leadership only comes when you can work well with a team. Teach your students leadership qualities by training them with several leadership activities. The basic elements of a leadership programme include modules on:
- Critical Thinking
- Responsible Decision-making
- Leadership strategies
- Handling of difficult situations or persons
We can e.g. tailor-make a workshop for your Student Councillors based on Kouzes and Posner’s ‘The Leadership Challenge’ to meet the needs of your school and your students.
Programmes can be conducted over a number of sessions throughout a term, as a Camp Activity or as part of the CCE activities.
Presentation Skills
Good communication and presentation skills will help the students to reach out to both students & teachers in school and people in Singapore, skills that will help improve your student’s confidence, relevant skills that are essential to living and working in the 21st century.
The basic elements of a presentation skills programme include modules on:
- Preparation of the presentation
- Preparation of effective power Point Slides
- Delivery – Body Language and Getures
- Personal Grooming and Self Image/ Confidence

Objectives: At the end of the module, students will:
- Have a clear understanding of the Hospitality Industry
- Explore career opportunities in the Hospitality industry
- Be given an overview of the major segments of the hospitality industry including lodging, food & beverage
- Understand some aspects of Hotel Management
- Have a chance to learn to plan, organize, arrange and execute special events is critical to the success of many hospitality organizations
- Understand the career and study advancement options in this industry that is available in post-secondary institutions such as the polytechnics
Example: SECONDARY 3NA ELECTIVE module “Tourism”
Objectives: At the end of the module, students will:
- Have a clear understanding of the Tourism Industry
- Explore career opportunities in the Tourism Industry
- Be given an overview of the major segments of the Tourism industry including attractions, travel & tours and event management
- Understand some aspects of travel & tours segment
- Have a chance to learn to plan, organize, arrange and execute special events is critical to the success of many tourism organizations
- Understand the career and study advancement options in this industry that is available in post-secondary institutions such as the polytechnics
Optional: field trip to attractions and hospitality partners with or without overnight stay
